NEW LONDON ALL SCHOOL ALUMNI REUNION

“BULLDOG BASH 2010”

August 13 – 14, 2010

 

If you have attended school in New London at any time you are invited to attend the 2010 “Bulldog Alumni Bash.”  Please review the following information and let us know if / how you would like to be involved.  The event website is www.newlondonalumni.com.  This will be the only information sent by mail to register but registration forms and information on the event will be available through the event website, the New London Area Chamber of Commerce and some local businesses. 

 

ATTENDEE INFORMATION / SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

 

·        Happenings on Friday, August 13, 2010

o       Registration (begins at 9 a.m.)

§         Cost is $5.00 per person for those attending Friday evening only, the cost for those attending Friday and Saturday is $10.00 per person and the cost for those attending Saturday only is $10.00 per person.  All checks can be made payable to:  NL Alumni Reunion

§         Advance registration is requested but not required.  If you can pre-register it will assist with the planning process for this event and will create much-needed “start up” cash

·        We will have your registration packet (including pre-printed name tag) prepared

·        We will list your name as “attending” on the Bulldog Bash website.  By watching the website you will be able to see all who have pre-registered

§         All Friday registration will take place at Crystal Falls Banquet Facility (located at 1500 Handschke Dr.) from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. 

o       Poker Run

§         There is no cost to participate, the purpose is to create a fun way to see the sights of New London, promote the businesses and have participants mingle with each other

§         Pick up your “Poker Run Card” when you register.  Multiple businesses and locations will be listed as “stops” on the card.  Your goal is to go to these locations and get your card validated in efforts to create the best possible poker hand (5 cards).  You will turn in your validated card at the Hatten Park social from 5 – 7 p.m.

§         All are encouraged to patronize these poker run sponsors who have supported our event 

o       Socializing and Entertainment at Crystal Falls Banquet Facility

§         6 p.m. to end of night in the back hall (Niagara).  There will be music, areas for socializing and hors d’oeuvres

 

·        Happenings on Saturday, August 14, 2010

o       Registration

§         8:30 a.m. to the end of the night at Hatten Park

o       5 K Walk / Run

§         8:30 a.m. registration at the New London Middle School (1000 W. Washington St.) – no participation fee, route will highlight New London locations such as the current schools and Hatten Park

o       Information Display on touring local facilities will be available at the registration area

§         Tour many local places of interest, a complete listing of tour facilities with locations and times will be available at registration

 

o       9 Hole Golf Scramble at Shamrock Heights Golf & Supper Club (10:30 a.m. tee time)

o       Alumni Parade

§         Parade will begin at 3 p.m.

§         Parade route to be determined – watch for details on event website and at registration

§         We are looking for alumni band members, baton twirlers, Homecoming Kings & Queens and classic cars

o       Hatten Park Festivities

§         4 p.m. – 12 Midnight (come rain or shine)

§         We will have an 80 X 180 foot tent set up in Hatten Park stadium

§         Vendors are being invited to participate and sell food and drinks to attendees

§         We will have musical entertainment (we are looking into a DJ and then a band)
